    Explorer.exe stops responding ntdll.dll

(First Post) Other people here have the same problem, and I got the info on how to create a dump file. The system has 20GB so I had to manually change memory settings for the create regular dump (instead of minidump) to show up. The system never created one however, I think because it never really crashed to the Blue Screen (with white fonts). Mine just gives the error, stops responding and restarts the explorer.exe caused by ntdll.dll - how do I show you guys the dmp?

One weird workaround that I did by accident is to just copy and paste any file (I usually just ctrl+c and ctrl+v a file in the desktop then delete it). Then it seems to not have this looping episode (at least for this one Optiplex system). I just started this on a couple Precision systems - not sure if the same bandage will work... might be related to Outlook 2007 (it's the first thing opened after logging in). All three have Windows 7 Pro. Please let me know what other info is needed.

    Thank you.

Awesome. Looks like the "right click on process" is the simplest to start with - I assume to do this right after the crash? How much data will the dmp include? Will it include older crash data to a number of days or just the last few times or just the last one? Thanks.

Wow, I thought I'd lay back to give the experts a chance to catch up, but still no bite?

Does it hang ("not responding") or crash ("stopped working")?

If it crashes, you'll need to use the Windows Debugging Tools (ADPlus or WinDbg) to collect the dump (the debugger must be attached to the process before the crash).

I'm not a BSOD expert but I do know they will need this.

Hi Folks, I've tried the copy explorer.exe from wow folder to system32 and it seemed to work for a couple days longer, but then same thing. I hope these dumps would be more helpful, thanks.
