    Microsoft .NET Framework Issue Please Help

    Hi All,

    I have just put Windows 7 Ultimate on my pc and am getting this pop up saying "Micorsoft .NEt Framwork - Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit the application will close immediately."
    Also says "Conversion from string "<br /> <b>Warning</b>: mysql_cl" to type 'double' is not valid.
    I have tried re installing .Net framework 3.5 sp1 with no luck.
    Can someone please help me?

    Cheers

    It's a bug (error) in the program itself. Is it a program you wrote and compiled yourself?

    Which programme?
    Is there a way i can find out which programme is causing this issue?
    I was on xp and never had this issue with exactly the same programmes.
    I went to install .Net framework and got setup error about 4 times so its something to do with Windows 7 im sure.

    Cheers

    Windows 7 already has .NET framework built-in. Maybe that's why you get a setup error..

    Can you attach a screenshot of the error messages (with any detailed info expanded if possible)?

    Ok here is the message i get, Im also using Windows Ultimate 64 bit version if that helps.

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    I reckon that's likely to be malware. You've got an app pretending to be ALG.EXE (OS FTP protocol editor), except it's most definitely not because the legit (real) ALG.EXE doesn't live in that location, nor is it a .Net app reliant on MySQL.

    A full malware scan would be a very good idea.

    it means a lot of things, if you click on the link and read through it.

    certainly one of the first things you could do is scan for malware as the article and H2SO4 pointed out
