KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED due to ntoskrnl.exe driver

Hi,

I'm having a 64 bit windows 7 laptop and i'm getting blue screen very frequently now and its saying:

check with your hardware vendor for any bios updates. Disable the memory option such as caching or shadowing.
technical information - stop-ox00000001E

while the crash dump file saying - its a problem with ntoskrnl.exe driver problem.

can you please help me resolve the problem.

Welcome to the forum.

McAfee is a known cause of BSOD's. Please remove it.

Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-

Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Reduce items at start-up. Nothing except anti-virus is required:

Make scans with the following:

Kaspersky TDSSKiller

Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

ESET online scanner

Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

Perform a System File Check:

Click on the
Type CMD on Search
Left click and Run as Administrator
Type SFC /scannow
