Getting BSOD along with startup repair loop

I have tried many things to fix this, however I am open to whatever ideas you have. I have no log files of the blue screen, but I know it happens because I see it flicker and then my PC restarts. Here is what happens:

    > I press the power button on my desktop PC to turn it on
    > Logo comes up of manufacterer
    > Gets to the screen where it says Starting Windows (the splash), blue screens and flickers
    > PC restarts
    > Logo comes again
    > Asks for startup repair, I say yes
    > It finds nothing, and asks me to restart/shutdown
    > I restart, and it starts from the 2nd step again and loops forever.

My PC is unable to access F8 advanced options due to it being an old PC...

    Things I've done already:

    • sfc /scannow - nothing was wrong
    • chkdsk /r /f - nothing was wrong
    • Fix my boot files using bootrec.exe through CMD
    • Tried to disable auto reboot when system crashes in registry, found out it was already disabled, but it still auto restarts without my permission.

I'll add more things as I think of them.. too many things I have done lol.

ATM, I am on a bootable Ubuntu OS from a CD.

Can you tell us what is the bugcheck code? A few of them behaves this way, and the necessary actions to debug them are somehow different.

Sorry for not replying, but I just reinstalled Windows and the problem seems to be fixed.
