constant BSOD on start up (possible update error)
My laptop is a hp G62 i-3 with windows 7 professional installed. I recently uninstalled a few software from it (a few tool bars and some tuneup software). The uninstalls went fine however when i restarted the laptop later after the windows animation it said do not turn off while changes are being made (what it usually says after an update has been installed).
However after a while it suddenly got the BSOD and then it restarted I tried it multiple times however nothing happened. I then booted it into safe mode and it said something along the lines of "Error during update now reverting changes". After that it restarted however these times it reached the login screen however the moment the login screen came up it would get the blue screen of death. it booted perfectly fine in safe mode.
I tried mulitple system recoveries however none of them seemed to work as they all seemed to have no effect. I have basically tried everything on this link:
Resolving stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7
except for actually re installing windows.
a few extra details:
the same BSOD happens when i try to boot it into safe mode with network access however normal safe mode loads up fine. Also I have loaded a Ubuntu live disk onto it and everything seemed to be working fine so I think that it may be a software issue. Also don't really know if this will help however it gets stuck while the login tone starts and the login tone also gets stuck at one note right before the BSOD.
Any help and replies would be most welcomed and thanks in advanced :)
