    BSoD Whenever I Try To Play Any Game

    Hello! I have had my Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 for 11 months, and had no problems until June. In June, the laptop would not start at all and I sent it in to be fixed. The laptop came back and everything worked fine until the last 3 months.

    In the last three months, I have had some BSoD related to gaming. I would run the game and when it gets to the main menu, the BSoD would hit. I would then restart to make sure that the GTX 660M was detected.

    I have the most recent current drivers from NVIDIA the 331.82 for my GTX 660M.

    The current BIOS is 5DCN89WW(V8.00).

    I used Lenovo Solution Center and ran the hardware scan, and got one failure in the PCI Express check-up. No failures in any other part.

    I ran the SF Diagnostic Tool but only got an error for the dxdiag box.

    Here's the error code:

    Code:
    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.
    I looked through the Windows folder and there is no dxdiag.txt found...?

    Well I'll attach the zip without that one part that's giving me errors.

    and I try Civ 5 and I get BSoD again. Could this be because my BIOS is different than the one supplied? Again my current BIOS is 5DCN89WW(V8.00) and whenever i look into the bios menu, it talks about Win8 everywhere...

    I will attach another zip with dump files and all.

    I want to see if there are any possible solutions to fix before I can send the laptop in for replacement.
