BSOD while downloading torrent (utorrent), netio.sys

Recently, I faced around 7 BSODs, 6 showing netio.sys error (while running utorrent download) & the last one unknown (while running utorrent download + a game install).

What has happened till now ordered according to time :

-I was using latest HP provided drivers & updated them to the latest provided by windows update in the hope to fix the problem but it reoccured.

-I figured out the problem for the first 6 BSODs (netio.sys error, while running utorrent download), it was networx (internet speed monitor). So I uninstalled that & the BSODs stopped.

-7th BSOD occured (while running utorrent download + a game install) which doesn't showed netio.sys error

-Windows error reporting didn't worked showing
: "Problem connecting to the Windows Error Reporting service. Some of the reports could not be uploaded to the Windows Error Reporting service. Please try again later."

-Reverted back to latest HP provided drivers, as drivers were not the problem & crashing of synaptics touchpad driver provided by windows update occurred.

    -No more BSODs till now.

    Attached SF diag tool output(Razor2.zip).
Please help me figure out what really happened.

    Hi Razor2.

The NETIO.sys BSODs may be caused by network driver, antivirus or even by a virus.
    Code:
    BugCheck D1, {28, 2, 0, fffff880019586fd}

    Probably caused by : NETIO.SYS ( NETIO!RtlCopyBufferToMdl+1d )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
It appears that the network driver, Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter is old enough.
    Code:
    fffff880`0849d000 fffff880`0873f000 athrx (deferred)
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\athrx.sys
        Image name: athrx.sys
        Timestamp: Wed Feb 23 01:47:31 2011 (4D6419DB)
        CheckSum: 0029D477
        ImageSize: 002A2000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Update it from Drivers for Atheros AR9285 and Windows 7.

Also, Uninstall Avira; at least as a test. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Also, There are some display related BSODs.
    Code:
    BugCheck A, {0, 2, 0, fffff80003099e52}

    Probably caused by : dxgmms1.sys ( dxgmms1!VidMmiProcessTerminationCommand+5f )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
And it appears that the display driver is too old.
    Code:
    fffff880`0758a000 fffff880`075d4000 atikmpag (deferred)
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmpag.sys
        Image name: atikmpag.sys
        Timestamp: Thu Sep 09 23:22:49 2010 (4C891EF1)
        CheckSum: 0005254D
        ImageSize: 0004A000

Update your ATI/AMD display driver to the latest WHQL.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

    Let us know the results.

Thanks Arc for reviewing my problem.
I'll tryout all as you have instructed & report back.

Meanwhile i want to know something :

Does all the drivers need to be updated to latest ( always like os or av) ?

Is it required to fully uninstall the previous driver before installing the latest one

The HP provided atheros driver installs 3 cisco modules (PEAP, EAP-FAST, LEAP), are they required, if so how should i update to the drivers you provided, because uninstalling the hp driver will remove the cisco modules too

Difference between pc manufacturer provided drivers(in my case HP) & hardware manufacturer provided drivers & which are better as hp isn't providing driver updates for my pc model any more, should I stick to those old HP provided drivers or update all to latest H/W Manu. provided ones.

Installing latest synaptics touchpad driver from synaptics doesn't support the tap to disable switch provided by Hp, installing latest synaptics touchpad driver from windows update over the HP provided synaptics touchpad driver (without uninstallation) supports the tap to disable switch but crashes frequently

Can you point me out the drivers i need to update in order to avoid any other problems

Atheros.. will update, waiting for your reply for the above Qs
    AMD Radeon.. updated
    Realtek Ethernet.. Old HP Driver
    Synaptics Touchpad Old HP Driver
HP Integrated Module With Bluetooth 2.1(Broadcom Widcomm).. Old HP Driver
IDT HD Audio Old HP Driver
HP 3D DriveGuard or HP ProtectSmart or HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor Old HP Driver
Intel Rapid Storage Tecnology Old HP Driver
Intel Management Engine Old HP Driver
    Intel Chipset Old HP Driver
Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader Old HP Driver

Some most important device drivers are to keep updated. Like network, graphics etc.

It is not essentially needed to fully uninstall the previous one, as far as the driver install is taking an update.

OEM listings, in most of the cases, are not regularly updated. So the drivers from OEM manufacturer's site may not always help you to get the latest. Alternatively, the device manufacturer's site always contains the latest updates. Though some people says that it is must to use the drivers from OEM manufacturer, my experience does not say so. If you get the appropriate driver the device manufacturer, it is good.

You need not to uninstall anything. Install the atheros driver by following Driver Install - Device Manager

As far as the touchpad driver is not causing any issue, use it as it is.
