In that case, use the Intel® Driver Update Utility at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx

updated 3 intel drivers, if you will recommend the same thing to others just mention them to download the zip version of the driver and not the exe. the exe is fu up. i will keep an eye on how things will do. can i reinstall my intel rapid storage technology driver? you told me to uninstall it. i am waiting for another reply when you will have time. thanks again for your help. one more question, windows update tells me about an update for nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, WDDM1.2, WDDM1.3, Other hardware - nvidia geforce gt 650m. should i install it? the published date is 14/12/2013

Better you don't update the display driver till the issue is fixed coz that one is not known as well stable.

About RST, I would suggest you to not install it.

back with more bsods... so annoyed... last 2 of them were one about directx and the other about nvidia. besides all the minidumps that i have uploaded there are a lot of instances when the laptop goes into bsods and freezez or shuts down so no dumps are created. even so... please have a look and tell me what to do next... thank you very much Arc

The Event Log for System events appears to have stopped functioning on 2nd Jan - the Application log continues OK to current.
This may be due to corruption in the file.
Please open Event Viewer, and open the Windows Logs > System
right-click on the entry in the left pane, and select 'Clear log...' and OK it after saving.

reboot - now check the System event log - are there new entries in it?
