    BSOD 0x00000124

I'm not sure where to start so I'll start from the when I got my SSD.

After switching to the SanDisk 240 SSD I noticed I get BSODs when my computer awakes from sleep mode, so I never use sleep mode. I don't like to use sleep mode anyways.

As time passed by I noticed my computer was rebooting randomly. I thought maybe it was overheating from my cpu due to my heatsink being terrible, but then after I upgraded to H80i closed water loop system I'm still getting the random reboots with no BSODs. I've been watching my cpu temps as I'm doing my tasks and the temps don't rise about 45c.

Now that I've installed the new Razer Black Widow Ultimate Mechanical keyboard I've noticed BSODs when it randomly shuts down.

In the Manager under Windows Logs I notice this:
    Critical
    Event ID = 41 (63)
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

    Steps attempted to resolve issue:
    1. I've tried updating my drivers for my mobo and when I checked I've already got the latest drivers.
    2. Upgrade cpu heatsink to the H80i.
    3. Update OS.

I've attached the zip file created from the the SF_Diagnostic_tool.

Any help would be very much appreciated. I don't know how to read dump files.

*After submitting this post I launched Battlefield 4 for the 3rd time. I got my third reboot. Each time I was either launching battlefield 4 or playing it.

    Hi oddmut.

It appears that the BSODs are appearing during playing Battlefield4; and computer is more or less 3 years old.

Update your display driver to the latest WHQL.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.

Also let us know the wattage of the PSU.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

    Stress test the CPU.

To me, Everything is not good.

    First, memtest ran 5 passes.
    Attachment 297878
We cannot take any decision before running at least 8 passes.

Second, furmark shows clear artifacts. See the broken edges. Classic example of artifacts.
    Attachment 297879
This is what is called "no artifacts" below.
    Attachment 297880
Decision is, weak GPU, subject to cause stop 0x124 BSODs.

I assumed 17 hours for 5 passes would be long enough. I'll let it run longer then.

Thanks for clearing up the artifacts. What do you mean by weak GPU? Do you mean that the card is dying and it can't process properly anymore? Or is it that the card is just low model not meant to play battlefield 4 or diablo 3?

Artifacts indicate that the card is failing to processing graphics. With the passage of time the situation will be even worse.

I would suggest you to get a new card; irrespective of the fact that it may not be the only reason behind the BSODs. We need to observe the situation after changing the GPU.

Oh okay thanks! I was always tempted to buy a new card, and now I have a reason to.

I'll do some research into which card I want, and then I'll rerun furmark tests and repost to this thread. I will also be rerunning memtest86 for the 8 passes.

I appreciate your help a lot Arc!

Computer was down for a bit due to H80i pump dying. Got a new pump and I'm up and running.

I purchased a Nvidia GTX 770 and furmark shows the same results, but what I did notice on the 6850 while playing BF4 is that, textures would be missing and the tanks secondary .50 cal machine gun will be in the middle of my screen. Unplayable as I'm unable to see anything.

    Edited:
I replaced the card because the furmark results were the same. After receiving the card and swapping out the "bad" card, the new card is still doing the same thing. I doubled checked all the settings from the instructions you provided and the settings I used are correct.

When I launch Bluestacks and play Castle Clash while having Batman Arkham Origins opened in the main menu, Castle Clash flickers like a strobe light.
