    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 HP 6735s Bug

I installed Win 7 Ultimate x64 on my laptop few hours ago; it has been working fine for more than 5 hours until few minutes ago when I closed the task manager and then tried to start it again all the "graphs" in it became empty and only the task manager froze; when I tried to restart my laptop the whole system froze. Here is a link with the .dmp file > 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download 102509-37019-01.dmp

I could not open it, so can you please tell me what does it say in it; What the problem is and can it be "fixed"?

I have also got another minor problem with MSN Messenger:

    http://i36.tinypic.com/149y5hg.jpg

As you can seen in the picture above, when I start MSN two windows apear on my task bar, and when i minimize it/close it a window still "exists" on the task bar as a active programe, it does not become the same as skype

I would apreciate any help about both problems!
    Thanks in advance! :)

It's a stop 0x124 which is a hardware error report being passed along by Windows in the form of a specific type of BSOD. Suggestions:

    1) Make sure your BIOS is up-to-date.
    2) Try to update drivers for the video, NIC, chipset...
    3) If you've done (1) and (2) but you continue to experience more 0x124 crashes, take the machine back to the shop, especially if it's under warranty.

MSN Issue: - Run MSN in compatibility mode for Vista SP2.
(Right click MSN taskbar icon, and choose properties, in the compatibility tab choose Vista SP2 in the drop down list)

    Thanks! It worked
At the moment I am installing 18 updates, so I will see in future if the problem with the freezing still exist after I have installed all updates, and can I ask somethng - Does Win 7 find the latest driver or you have to do it manually, because as I mentioned in my previous post, I have installed all the latest driver from the HP website.

rsvr85 & H2SO4 thanks very much for the respones
1 problem solved / 1 still in "processing"

I've found in my meagre experience, that Windows 7 installs the most recent versions of the driver. I've only found one case where it didn't (my audio driver). Probably good practice to check out the manufacturers website anyhoo.

I have installed all the latest drivers, my audio driver is working perfectly for now; I will see if any problems appear in future and inform you.

Thanks again for the help! :)

My laptop has been working for more than 12 hours yesterday, I have also installed 18 "important" updates! Win7 is working great! The most stable version of win. I've ever used! (Win7 + WinXP SP3 Pro x64) .. and of course the fastest! :) I can now use all my 4GB ram with the 64-bit version of Win Ultimate :)
I will keep you informed guys if I have any problems and I would like to thank you again for all your help!
