BSOD at random intervals when playing certain games at any setting.

This happens with DayZ, Borderlands 2, Battlefield 3, and a few other games. Other games work perfectly at max settings.

I have attached my zipped dump file as instructed in the how to post thread. I have had a lot of these BSOD-type issues since building this PC last Feb.

Here are my specs:
16GB RAM
Core i5-3570k
MSI Geforce GTX 660TI

All drivers are up to date as far as I can tell. I completely wiped my video card drivers with driver sweeper last night, then installed the latest version but that did not help.

I'm desperate for help here. I can't really play games on the PC that I built specifically for gaming!

If I'm missing any information please tell me. I've made this according to the instructions as best as I can tell.

Thank you to anyone willing to help me with this!

Since it occurs at random internals like you are saying; it appears to me like you either possibly have one or more bad ram modules and or ram slots on the motherboard; and or you also have something within windows that is possibly corrupting the games files for those games hence the reason for the blue screens. For the ram i would take the ram completely out until all of them are out; then one by one test each one by putting each one back in and seeing if you get the bsod. If you get to one or more where it bsod's; then thats probably the culprit in which case you probably will have to replace that module. Be sure to also test that slot with another known good module and see if it does it; if it does its most likely the slot on the motherboard.

EDIT: On the other side of the coin; i would try doing a repair install of those particular games and see if that also does anything.

Thank you for the reply.

If what you've suggested is the case, wouldn't it do it with any game, not just certain ones? And wouldn't it also possibly do it with resource heavy non-gaming applications as well?

This has happened since I built the computer with a fresh install of Windows 7, and with fresh installs of the games, so I don't think anything was corrupted. Re-installing both doesn't help.

The RAM thing is interesting though, I will try that. Shouldn't I be able to use memtest86 instead?
