    BSOD when starting and loading windows in computer, Bad_Pool_Header


    Hello,
    I never had any big issues on this Acer laptop that I have been using for about a year and half up til now. I was using my laptop for about hour then I got back on it a few hours later and I get a BSOD. The BSOD states that it is a BAD_POOL HEADER. The technical information was 0x00000019 (0x0000000000000022, 0xFFFFF8A000C00000, 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000). I know a little about computer but I'm definitely not a computer expert so any help to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi welcome to SF afrougly .

    This appears to be pretty straight forward, right off the bat the debugger doesn't seem to like
    AVG's AVI Loader Driver, Driver Reference Table - avgldx64.sys.

    Did by any chance the BSOD started when installing AVG?
    Please boot into Safe Mode and uninstall AVG. You can use Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

    This is Malware if I'm not mistaking.

    No the BSOD did not start when I installed AVG. I installed the latest version of AVG actually after the BSOD started. I already had AVG 13 and I decided to install AVG 14 also a little while after. I uninstalled and removed anything to do with AVG through Programs and Features. This didn't change anything after I restarted the computer. Is there anything else I should do to remove any components related to the AVG causing the problem? This BSOD started out of no where and I never had this problem before. I ran all the programs for scanning for any infections. All of them came up clean except malwarebytes which found 5 suspicious item and I removed them.

    The SFC /SCANNOW said: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them
    I also attached a updated dump file.

    I also can't install Microsoft Essentials while in safe mode.

    Yep, I was able to solve the problem by reinstalling AVG to my computer. I am going to uninstall it then reinstall Microsoft essentials like you recommended. You were very helpful to solve the problem so thanks again for everything.
