BSOD & Freezing not sure why

Hi my computer has been freezing and I've received a BSOD a couple of times recently. I'm not sure of the exact cause but in all occasions I've had Firefox or Mediamonkey open...

Thanks for looking into this.

Hi I've run all the tests now. Passed the memtest fine and the standard CPU test. But when I run the Video card stress test i only get a burn in score of 208? with max temp 56. Does this mean my graphics card isn't functioning properly?

Please uninstall LucidLogix Virtu.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.
  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus, F.lux and Rainmeter.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Make it sure that the SSD is running with the latest firmware, Firmware Update 070H, Release Date: 04/02/2013.

Plan to update the BIOS to the version 2.20 dated 7/12/2012 from http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...Z68%20Extreme4. If you are not aware of how to do it, take the help of anybody who can do it for you.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
http://www.extreme.outervision.com/p...ulatorlite.jsp
Also let us know the wattage of the PSU.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .

Run furmark with your full screen resolution. Let us see a screenshot of the furmark window.

The fact is, a stop 0x101 may be caused by anything and everything, so the troubleshooting may involve a lot of works.

Hi Arc,

Thanks for your help with this.
  • I've tried uninstalling LucidLogix Virtu but I can't find it in my list of installed programs?
  • I've updated my SSD firmware
  • Flashed my bios to the latest firmware
  • I'm not overclocking
  • Checked the minimum and recommended watts which came to 350 and 400 respectively
    • I'm using the corsaire TX which has 650w so should be sufficient
  • Here's a link to my speccy I've been running the computer for a while http://speccy.piriform.com/results/I...GcYIeGBnGhV23S

  • Furmark I've realised it's testing my integrated graphics card and not the radeon how do I change this? Can't seem to find info anywhere.
  • Integrated card window - after 15 min benchmark 1920x1080 resolution Attachment 300427

If needed, Disable the integrated GPU in the BIOS, run the dedicated one only and then test with furmark.

About Virtu .... you may try Revo uninstaller.

Hi, I tried using revo but couldn't find it either...

Do you know how I can stop my graphics card in the EUFI? I've been into it but can't see the option.

Thanks for your help so far!

That is odd that you cannot uninstall an installed program. In that case, delete the driver manually .....

About the Integrated Graphics processor, Is there any option like "integrated peripherals"? The IGP option should be there.
