I ran furmark for 20 minutes straight with the recommended settings supplied by the directions you gave me. Ran fine with no hiccups. I also ran Prime95 for 2 hours and nothing happened either. I am going to run memtest tonight and run it overnight. I will post the results tomorrow.

The memtest completed. 9 passes, 0 errors. I have not experienced a bsod since that day. I would think I would have received some kind of result if something was seriously wrong, but I didn't. In my experience with infrequent BSODs it was a memory issue... But all 4 RAM sticks are the exact same model with the exact same specs.I am going to play some games tonight to see if anything happens. Any other suggestions will be much appreciated! Do you think it may be actually from the Killer driver conflicting with Avast?

Its relieving that RAM is not failing.

Next attempt, Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one just for a safety reason.

See how it is going.

I already have MBAM and ran a scan with that initially and it did not find anything. I also ran a scan with Avast and it did not find anything either. I am going to wait and see if it does it again before I uninstall Avast, because I have a paid version of it. I played some games last night without any BSODs. My next test will be getting on Amazon and watching a 2 hour movie to see if I can recreate it. If I can, then I will install MSE and uninstall Avast.

So it happened again. And I can recreate it with Amazon Prime videos. I watched a whole movie before it happened too. It happened during the credits of the movie. I can watch other 45 minute episodes of TV shows, but movies it for some reason doesn't like. I can play games with it and nothing happens either. This is so weird. Attached is the dump file so you can check it out...

As far as I have seen, APC index mismatches are caused by third party virus detection tools.

I switched to MSE last night along with downloading the latest update to the Intel Smart Connect Technology Driver. I should have the latest drivers for all hardware on that system. I played the same movie on Amazon with MSE installed and did not get a BSOD. I also played a game without a hiccup. I am going to play a different movie tonight and we will see if I get another BSOD. Thanks for all your help thus far.

So I played an Amazon video tonight with MSE installed and no BSOD. This may have been the issue, but now my concern is with PC protection. Is there another free antivirus or paid version that you recommend that will give me better protection without blowing up my system? I just keep hearing horror stories about MSE and how little it protects. Let me know what you think. Thanks again for everything!!

With MSE and MBAM, you are secured.

BSOD while editing code and playing video. Error 0x0000003b
It appears I've got a random issue with driver 'ntoskrnl.exe' - I've recently run two back to back memtests and I've found no memory issues. I build a new system about every 2 years and this system is about 4 months old. You can view my system specs for more details. I run multiple programs...
