BSOD, random
Well, I'm somewhat at my wits end. About a year ago I started getting BSODs on my system, sometimes recurring, other times they'd go away for literally MONTHS at a time.
When they started I had not really installed or changed anything so I was sure it wasn't software related. They went away for a long time, then came back, and then I decided to reseat everything and they went away for along time again. Came back, and nothing seems to do the trick now. I reinstalled windows 7 and it actually bluescreened on me within minutes of finishing the installation.
I think its hardware related, but I'm not sure, and I don't want to go down the route of buying components and trying them out because I can't be sure that x component has solved the issue since this really doesn't happen all the time going a week or two or months even without an issue is no way to say for sure the issue is fixed since I routinely go that long without issue.. I went about a week without any problems and started getting them again yesterday. I've run memtest86 and that came back with no errors (just the default test that starts auto), I've run chkdsk with no errors, the windows memtest as well. I think it could be PSU related, but I have no idea how to check that out.. other people have mentioned it could just be the mobo has gone kaput.
Ive used a minidump viewer and noticed that ntoskrnl.exe is what bugs out in every case, sometimes with other drivers (ntfs, tcpip, fltmgr) causing the bluescreen. The latest BSOD was due to a page fault error, but no minidump was created. Windows is set to create a kernel memory dump.
Anyway, I followed the steps using the sf dump collector and am uploading it here.. would be greatly appreciated if anyone could look into it
Thanks
