new information to help. Downloaded a temp moderator. CPU Cores are running at around 40-50C. This is when I am just browsing the internet. On games they can spike to 70-80.

Sounds reasonably hot temps for browsing G unless the ambient room temp is high - have you thought of renewing the thermal compound/s? Plus what cooler do you have on the CPU?

Some system specs would be handy I know you have few there but use this

Cooling fan is the stock one that it came with. I am considering getting a new one now, my friend built basically the same computer but spent an extra 75$ on a CPU fan, has had no heating issues.

Thats a good idea Geaux now all you need to do is decide between air and fluid cooling.
I don't know what you budget is like but there are plenty of really good coolers of both sorts. The liquid ones generally are good from the point of view of being neater as opposed to some of the air coolers that can be quite large.
I have an Intel LC cooler (Intel BXTS13X) in my Ivy and I have had no problems with it apart from the first one which I think was a bad luck pick from their stock.
My Sandy Bridge has a CoolerMaster Hyper 412 which is good but again very bulky - some of the very large ones do overhang the RAM slots and can be a nuisance when you are fitting either (RAM or the cooler).
Myself I prefer the LC but if you decide to go down that track then be careful when fitting some of the pump assembly units (particularly the screw down points) in some brands are very flimsy or just not that strong.

Can I recommend running the quick test of IPDT to test the CPU?
