    Replace all the ram that are matched. Mismatched ram is not a good idea. When the ram is mismatched it can test good but not work with each other very well.

    When you say matched ram do you mean to have all 4 sticks in a quadcore setup be the exact same?

    Is replacing the two 1 GB ram enough or are you recommending to replace all the ram?

    It's best to replace all 4. Most quality manufacturers test a 'kit' to work together, as well as give a lifetime warranty. If you try to replace just 2, it will work in many cases, but not all. The safest way is to buy a complete kit.

    I was trying to install the new PSU. For my motherboard it needs a 4 pin PCI-E to power it. The PSU I got does not have any 4 pin PCI-E. Is it OK to use a 6 or 8 pin PCI-e instead?

    For one of the cable (8 pin PCI-E) it is labelled CPU. Is it supposed to be connected to something?
