BSOD During Civilization 5

I have been getting the BSOD when I am playing Civilization 5. The game freezes, I get the BSOD where it says it is making a memory dump. I never had this problem until I installed the expansions to the game.

I would like to know is the issue with the game or is something wrong with my computer.

Hi there,

Your dump is blaming the wireless driver,

Code:
start end module name
fffff880`04aa4000 fffff880`04d46000 athrx T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: athrx.sys
    Image path: athrx.sys
    Image name: athrx.sys
    Timestamp: Tue Feb 22 12:17:31 2011 (4D6419DB)
    CheckSum: 0029D477
    ImageSize: 002A2000
    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
You can see it's dated Feb. 2011.

From your other info it shows it's a TP-LINK 450Mbps Wireless N Adapter

Try updating the driver from here,

Is there a way to manually update the driver? I use the .exe file from TP-Link but in the device manager it is still showing the feb 22, 2011 date after restarting the computer.

Which driver did you download?

The top one from 2013?

I downloaded the 2013 one. I also tried updated the driver through device manager "search on local" but it said my driver was already up to date.

I haven't tried deleting the old driver yet.

You can try deleting the old driver.

Have you had any new BSOD's?

I think that's what the goal should be for the time being.

When I get off work I will try to delete the old drivers and try to update. Will report any new BSOD.

Is it possible to create a dump of previous BSOD? I have gotten quite a few of them playing Civ 5

There was only one dump in your upload, if you are using something like Ccleaner or disk cleanup it may have deleted any previous dumps.

I don't know of any way to create a dump of a previous BSOD, don't run any cleanup programs while we are working on these.

I don't think the 2013 update on TP link updated the Win 7 drivers. I think Feb 2011 may be the latest version.

Will see if I get anymore BSOD.

I did use a cleaner a couple days ago but I did get 2 BSOD yesterday.

Got the BSOD again. When it was making the dump it said it was too small and instead was making a mini dump.
