Random BSOD in Windows 7 Pro ntfs.sys+c358a, ntoskrnl+f25b3
Hello I am new to posting here so apologies if I am duplicating any previous postings. I have spent 2 days trying to diagnose the problem with my HP Elitebook 9470m notebook PC running Windows 7 Pro with SP1.
Actions taken so far.
1. Have run memtest+86 and all came back fine. Have also run HP memory diagnostics in the BIOS and all tests were passed.
2. Have run sfc /scannow and also chkdsk and although some errors were found these were fixed.
3. Have run HP BIOS hard drive diagnostics test and HDD passed these tests.
4. Have run full Malwarebytes scan and all came back clear.
5. Have also run a proposed fix from tutorial found here NTFS.sys error 0x024- Tips and Tricks - www.retosphere.de& using Knoppix Linux distro to run ntfsfix command. The BSOD's are still occurring.
I can force the bsod to occur by attempting to launch Windows system restore. Whilst trying to open the program the bsod happens.
I can also force the bsod to occur by opening HP Support Assistant and attempting to update the drivers it informs me have an available update. The updates available are for an update to the BIOS and to the Synaptics Pointing Device.
I am uploading the results of my SF Diagnotics.
Please Help! This is my work laptop and it is very frustrating not to have managed to find a solution and not be able to identify the cause of these crashes. I really hope this doesn't require a rebuild as I only built this machine about 3 weeks ago and transferred all my data from my previous work laptop.
