Constant BSOD error on new custom build

    Hi,

I'm getting the BSOD error on my new custom built machine after a few hours of use every time i use it.

I've just built the PC a week ago, the CPU, mobo & Ram are new parts, upgrading from my old set up. The HDD & power supply are 3 years old.

I've used the SF Diagnostics tool to get the dump files & attached them to this post.

    My PC specs are;

Windows 7 64bit Home Premium (Installed from a purchased OEM dvd)

Mobo: Asus H87M-E Socket 1150 w/ integrated graphics processor & on board Realtek ALC887 HD audio card (Drivers installed from bundled dvd)

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k 350ghz Quad processor

    Ram: 2X Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Vengeance Kit - CL9 (9-9-9-24)

Power Supply: OCZ Stealth X Stream 2 600w

HDD: Western Digital 1tb 64mb cache SATA

DVD Drive: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-218L ATAPI

Case: Cooler Master Cm 690 III Advance ATX Mid-Tower

Cooling: 3X case fans & standard Intel CPU cooling fan bundled with chip

Hope someone can help me with this, it's driving me crazy.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
    eXtreme Power Supply Calculator

Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

    Stress test the CPU.

    Thank for you help Arc.

I've done the PSU calculator test & the recommended wattage is coming in at 291w, I'm running 600w at present which was ok for my previous build which had an Intel Core quad CPU (Was'nt an i3, i5 or i7) & I was running only 4gb of Corsair RAM & Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit & never had any problems.

I use my machine for music production which uses a fair bit of power from the CPU & RAM especially towards the end of a project where i have lots of synths, fx plugins & automations firing off at the same time. I'm thinking i'll need to upgrade to a bigger power supply ?

I'll run the stress tests for the different components tomorrow when i'm off work & post all results here.

Also I am not overclocking, everything is as standard & has been from day one.

    Thanks again mate.

If you are not overclocking, 600 watts should be enough.
