BSOD in game after laptop motherboard swap

I swapped my laptop mother board out for an identical board from the same HP dv6 3xxx series laptop. The new board has HD radeon 6550m graphcs instead of 6370m on my old one.

Everything works fine, the processor from my previous board was recognized, the drivers all installed themselves in windows when I logged in. I upgraded the bios to the latest version. No device manager errors. I ran a SFC /SCANNOW Command.

Everything Ok, except when I start a game. I get past the loading screen into the gameplay. First time I got a couple minutes in and the sound freezes up and BSOD happens. Second time I tried after the BIOS upgrade, it's within a matter of seconds.

here are the errors it displays after I boot back up:

I just got finished playing F.E.A.R., and it is a dx9 rendered, for about 30 minutes with no problem on medium-high settings.

The BSOD was happening when playing crysis 1, which I think is dx10

I just purchased and installed a new LGA 1155 H77 motherboard, Core i5 CPU, memory, GeForce gfx card, DVD drive, and power supply for my home PC, to replace all those old items. I retained the case itself, fans, and both internal HDD's. But for all intents and purposes it's a new build. After...

Will Motherboard swap require a reinstall?
My current motherboard is a socket 775 G41 chipset with 2 x DIMM slots for DDR2 RAM. I currently have 2 x 2GB Kingston RAM in them, but need to increase RAM to 8GB. However 2 x 4GB DDR2 is so ridiculously expensive it is not economically viable to do this. Around 175 for branded RAM or 100...
