BSOD in game after laptop motherboard swap

I swapped my laptop mother board out for an identical board from the same HP dv6 3xxx series laptop. The new board has HD radeon 6550m graphcs instead of 6370m on my old one.

Everything works fine, the processor from my previous board was recognized, the drivers all installed themselves in windows when I logged in. I upgraded the bios to the latest version. No device manager errors. I ran a SFC /SCANNOW Command.

Everything Ok, except when I start a game. I get past the loading screen into the gameplay. First time I got a couple minutes in and the sound freezes up and BSOD happens. Second time I tried after the BIOS upgrade, it's within a matter of seconds.

here are the errors it displays after I boot back up:

    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0

I just got finished playing F.E.A.R., and it is a dx9 rendered, for about 30 minutes with no problem on medium-high settings.

The BSOD was happening when playing crysis 1, which I think is dx10
