Sound Device / Driver Problems Causing BSOD

    Thanks - looks like a Speccy server issue then. I should be able to read the previous Speccy when Piriform works out their server issues.

    The two threads are fine, I just wanted to be sure there weren't two machines involved (I've done THAT before! ooops)
    The sound and BSOD might be related... we'll know more when we get sound working again.

    BTW, any more BSODs? Post the dumps if/when you get them. We're changing things and there might be additional information that a BSOD team member can use. I suspect that since you uninstalled and disabled the AMD/ATI device, the BSODs went in the bucket with it / them.

    I'll focus my posts on the other thread Sound Devices Have Disappeared

    Just read an update there re: sound working, boot, sound not working. This is what makes it difficult. There's an order of things that the restart reorders. I appreciate your patience with this, it is a sticky wicket to get through.

    Does the Sound dialog or Dev Mgr show any changes (restorations of devices) after the restart?
