I wasn't prompted to, so i ran it a second time, restarting both after removing the current installation via device manager and removing the software, and restarted after running the setup again, I am still met with the 2011 driver

Edit. I have tried the update driver feature in device manager, and selected the win 7 64 folder with the 2013 files in it, and told by windows that the current driver is up to date

Mmm. I've asked Arc to stop by if he has time. Lets see what he suggests.

Sure! In the mean time, is there a way i can completely purge my PC of the old drivers and software, or should uninstall, delete drivers via device manager and remove programs be sufficient? I would hate for this to end up being due to me not being able to get rid of the old driver!

I tried the same method of manually choosing drivers via device manager, this time using the 'driver files' folder from the tp-link website. And was greeted with this message. (second attachment, the driver now shows a different date, sadly still 2011)
