My final idea .... first use the GPU1 only, see if it crashes or not. If not, good. If crashes, use the GPU2 only and see what happens.

Let us know the situation.

Maybe a tad simple but I would suggest try these for starters

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

PS May need to run some malware scans too later

@Arc I still crash switching GPUs, no dump report was generated though but it was identical to the last crashes.

@Gandalph, the device manager was one of the first things I checked and it does not show any errors or (!) at all, as I have had a history of BSODs and USB 3.0 Host Controller issues with the last couple of PCs from Alienware (Dell) and it turned out to be BIOS related (I was issues with version A07 when the lastest was A10) but they changed my Motherboard with the new BIOS installed and all my USB 3.0 issues have gone away.

@ICit2lol, I have run both Malwarebytes Pro and Hitman Pro along with Microsoft Security Essentials and nothing has shown up.

I will run the Disc Check and Scannow command and let you know what they say mate, thanks, I hadn;t thought of that.

Gandalph, here is the device manager screen shot as requested.

Would you like a more specific picture or is that what you are after?

That is exactly what I was hoping for. Back to the think tank.

Awaiting the sfc results.

scf /scannow found a corrupt file and it was my installed windows theme, screenshot included below. The PC wouldn't let me continue with anything until i rebooted, so did and when it came back up my theme had parts that had been removed and it had reverted back to windows basic task bar etc.

I Uninstalled the theme and ran sfc /scannow again and it didn't find any more problems.

Running Disc Check now, and I will report the findings once complete.

I ran disc check the first time and left the room to answer the phone, came back and the desktop was showing and no results for the test were visible at all, so I ran it again and sat there watching it but it may have already fixed errors the first time, is there anyway to get the report for the first test?

It was checked to scan and fix any errors so I am assuming it either found nothing or fixed the error(s) and fine for the second scan.

Ok mate two others you could try are just to eliminate malware

https://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/ you only need run the Emergency and Command line scans

and
Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 > needs a bootable disk but will scan from power on so everything but does take a while to complete.

If these fail them it might need testing some of the hardware again if you haven't already - hard drive, RAM etc etc
Then I am not sure of where to go.
