Its worse now, there is nothing displaying. I cannot try any of your suggested tests. The computer turns on, fans are running, including the fan for the new video card, but there is no display whatsoever. Also when I try to shut it down, only way I can is with main power switch and I have to hold it down for a while before it shuts off. I've even left it off for a few days and tried it today and no luck. Any suggestions, or is it dead in the water? Thank you.

Can you try safe mode?

Do you have another graphics card you can try?

Does it stop displaying things after "Starting Windows"?

I cant see anything on the screen anymore when I turn the computer on. No safe mode, nothing, its just black, my monitor doesnt even detect a signal. I tried my old video card, and the indications are the same.

So with your old video card it's the same?

So BIOS or anything?

Sounds like a bad PCI slot to me.

I'll see if anyone else has any suggestions.

Yes, with the old video card its the same, no BIOS or anything, except 1 difference, with the old card the fan on the card itself does not run, with the new one it does.

Try another monitor if possible. I just today had mine go bad.

I tried another monitor and also tried the HDMI output as well, no help.

Do you have either a VGA or DVI video output from the motherboard you can try?

A VGA or DVI straight from the motherboard correct, not the Video card? Lemme check.

Yes, there were both VGA and DVI output straight from the motherboard. Tried them both and still the same indications, comp turns on, all fans are on, but nothing on the screen.
