BSOD On a clean install of Windows 7 will Updating the OS

    Hello,
I just recently did a clean install of windows 7 from the Windows 7 OEM DVD on a New 1TB WD HDD on a Samsung Laptop, And when Installing Windows updates i Would get a BSOD, So i copy the minidump and took a look at it on another PC and WinDbg is Pointing to (Wininit.exe) This led me to belive that it was one of the windows updates that was causing this BSOD!! keep in mind that this were the first batch of updates after a clean install of windows 7 SP1. I Check the bios and it was set to AHCI. So what i did Next was i ended up Installing windows on a 320GB HDD And i was able to get pass the first batch of windows updates with out any BSOD and now im installing the second batch of updates with out any BSOD, So it appears that the conflict was the 1TB HDD and Windows 7, So my Plan now is to IMG the Pc and moved that iMG to my clients 1TB HDD and hopefully we don't get any BSOD Anymore, Has anybody has had this issue before here are the system info from the Samsung Laptop.

    Samsung Laptop
    Model RC512
    Windows 7 HP 64bit
    Intel i5 2.30GHz
    Ram 4GB

I would like to get to the bottom of this issue so any input would be very helpful thanks

    Hello Mickey,

Please read the instructions here: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions, and post back with the needed information. One of our BSOD experts should be by later when able to further help. :)
