    BTW, Atheros driver Version: 10.0.0.274 should work for that.

    Drivers for Atheros AR5008 and Windows 7

    Release: 2013-11-28

    The downloaded driver says .....
    Code:
    ;/*++
    ;
    ;Copyright (c) 2001-2009 Atheros Communications, Incorporated All Rights Reserved
    ;
    ;Module Name:
    ;
    ;    netathw.inf
    ;
    ;Abstract:
    ; INF file for installing Atheros AR5008 Wireless Network Adapter
    ;
    ; Installs athw.sys (NDIS 5/5.1 driver) on NT platforms (2000, XP and greater)
    ;    Installs athwx.sys (NDIS 5 driver) on 9x platforms
    see, that's what i had thought aswell but every time i tried to install it, it would constantly say "windows has detected better, or the same driver software is installed." and to be completely honest, any time i try to use the device manager to check for updates or anything, it always tells me i have the most recent update.

    Device manager always tells the same, no good reason is there to believe it.

    Nothing new is there.

    You cannot expect any betterment there as long as the Linksys AE1200 will be there.

    Crash dump analysis can point the issue out, and nothing more. Solution or otherwise of the issue depends on your action only.

    i figured it out, it was my RAM, it was set at too high of a clock speed, so i turned it down to 1866, and turned the voltage up from 1.5-1.65 and i've had no issues.
