Frequent BSOD and missing "Starting Windows" screen

    Hi,

I've been getting a few BSODs recently with the error "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA", and I have also noticed that when I start my computer, nothing shows up until the login screen shows so I can't boot in safe mode. I don't know what to do-please help!

    Additional information is required.

    1. Download the DM Log Collector application to your desktop by clicking the link below

    DM Log Collector.exe

    2. Run it by double-clicking the icon on your desktop, and follow the prompts.
    3. Locate the .ZIP file created on your desktop, and upload it here in your next reply.

Attached is the ZIP folder. I'd also like to mention that I had Win32\Shellcode.A and another virus recently but I removed them with Norton Power Eraser.

Counterfeit installations such as yours contains heavily modified code that causes the installation to behave it unexpected ways. Analysing BSOD's and determining their causes on these sorts of installations is very unreliable.

My recommendation is to start with a clean slate, and install a genuine version of Windows. This will minimise the problems you are experiencing, and make subsequent diagnosis of BSOD's far more reliable
