BAD_POOL_CALLER - Error 0x000000c2
Hi everyone,
I've this laptop for almost 2 years now and I've been getting BSOD lately. I've had three BSOD in the past week. The first BSOD happened when the laptop was attempting to resume windows from hibernation (my laptop had been in this mode for about 1 day). The second one happened immediately after I started up my laptop and openend the chrome browser. The last one happened when I tried to shut down my virtual OS X Mavericks VMWare machine. I only have the dump file of this last BSOD.
It may be important to note that before all of the BSOD's happened, my explorer regularly stopped working at random times which caused my whole system to freeze and a window would sometimes pop up asking me to terminate the explorer process (but the buttons didn't respond when I clicked on them). Also my Chrome browser would sometimes say that no connection could be made to the website I'm trying to connect to even though I had already established a connection. So when I was reading a page, Chrome would sometimes suddenly refresh it and show this error message.
EDIT: Another thing that I find strange is that it can take up to 10 minutes before my laptop connects to a WiFi network after I restart my laptop and it normally takes no longer than 1 minute. Could the VMWare netwok adapter be causing this?
I've already tried a few things. I've scanned my entire system for malware, but no significant threats could be found. I've updated a lot of my drivers, to no avail. I've run chkdisk to check for hard drive problems: no problems found. I've run the built-in windows memory checker: no problems found. HOWEVER, memtest86 found 3000+ errors (all of the errors had the same err-bits: 00000010). BUT, if it would be my memory causing the BSOD, wouldn't it be causing it more often? I only get these BSOD's after a few hours of using my laptop.
I'm a complete newbie in these kind of things and I've absolutely no idea what to do. I've uploaded the required zip file with the dump file. I sincerely hope anyone of you can help me out, because restoring my system to factory settings is the last thing I want to do.
Thanks in advance!
