Read the tutorial again and it will tell you how to turn off Driver Verifier. That is why you set a restore point, so if you have trouble you can turn it off by using the restore point.
When you start up, click the start button and type verifier in the search box, click on verifier that appears, in the verifier manager click the radio button that says Delete Existing Settings and click Finish at the bottom. That should turn it off.
