    Multiple BSODs, all in the past week doing random things

    Ok, new to the forum I keep getting 1a BSODs and the last one I got was a c1. I'm not sure where to go or what to do at this point. When I used BlueScreenView the common driver failure after activating verifier was ntoskrnl.exe. Any help is appreciated! I have had this rig for about 2 years now with no issue, and within the last week get a tone of BSODs (5+). I feel it is a software thing, but I wasn't sure and wanted to check here before doing a wipe and reinstall.

    Hello and welcome darksurfer I would first up try these in safe mode if possible

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

    Then I would reseat all cards and sticks - you didn't mention what RAM you have and I would make sure you have the latest driver for the card and maybe do this

    MEMTEST

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.htmlthis one you will need to make a bootable disk set the BIOSto optical (or USB if preferred) boot the machine and let it run for at LEAST 8passes unless the errors come up straight away. Takes fair time to complete andsome leave it running overnight.

    darksurfer mate if you can run the chkdsk in safe mode and you might want to try some of the options in Option 2 notably the /f one
    Disk Check

    Now the last files you sent were they done on a GMER scan?? and just what security scans have you tried?

    One of those says it .....
    Code:
    BugCheck 1A, {5003, fffff70001080000, ca, cc000001d4}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for aswSP.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for aswSP.sys
    Probably caused by : aswSP.sys ( aswSP+2125a )

    ---------
    Description here: Driver Reference Table - aswSP.SYS

    Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

    Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one, for a safety reason, as the installed antivirus failed there.

    That one is Driver Verifier enabled.
    Code:
    DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID:  VERIFIER_ENABLED_VISTA_MINIDUMP
    And rightly DV caught the 13.12 WHQL AMD Display driver.
    Code:
    BugCheck C1, {fffff9804f0eef60, fffff9804f0eef58, 79c0a8, 32}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmdag.sys

    Uninstall your installed version of the display driver.

    Then clean up any possible leftover.

    Then install version 13.9 WHQL only.

    Lately we have seen a lot of issues with the latest 13.12 WHQL AMD Catalyst.

    Also, ICit2lol suggested for memtest86+ ..... you have to perform that test as he suggested.

    Removed avast and the video card drivers. When I installed mbam and the 13.9 driver, the screen turned white with a bunch of lines through it. I decide to just wipe and reinstall the os and on a fresh install I got a 1a bsod. Going to run memtest86+ tonight.
