The best way to test the CPU id to run Prime95 for about 10 hours. But, you should make certain you have good cooling and maintain a close watch on it. Your CPU temps will rise quite high and rapidly. I run AIDA64 (but it's a paid program) for at least 18 hours as well as prime95 to test mine, but, I'm and overclocker, as you have already been able to see, and am pretty strict about stability. I also run my CPU higher than you run yours. What Vcore do you see when you run the Prime95, AIDA or Intel Burn Test? However, ram will cause Prime 95 to fail also. As long as you are running a moderate vcore, your CPU should be fine, and 4.5 should only require a moderate vcore.

I updated my BIOS about 10+ days ago and everything is now set to default, so my CPU is now at factory stock clockspeed.

When you had an OC did you ever run a stability test? The issue is not what you set the Vcore in BIOS. It is more what the Vcore raises to when put under stress and turbo kicks in. As long as it was moderate, and to me 4.5 is moderate, it should cause no damage to the CPU. So, I base mine on what it is under Prime or AIDA. With normal useage, you will never see that vcore in real life. So, if it is a safe Vcore during a stress test, you should have no problems.
