Point well taken. I will run the test when I get a chance and report back.

Back again. I tried to run HWInfo64 but could not install the drivers, it claimed I did not have permission. I couldn't find anything particularly relevant within the first few pages of google results for this error. Would this be because of safe mode?

EDIT: Tried CPU-Z as well, got an error when trying to start a service according to the logs. CoreTemp requires an internet connection (Why the heck?). Any other suggestions? I do not want to run the stress test on stock cooling without being able to monitor the temps, for obvious reasons.

Yes, I believe you need to boot Windows normally.
Boot windows normally, install the programs and run the stress test following the previous instructions

The problem is I cannot boot windows normally. So I need a way to measure temps from safe mode.

Free your startup programs.
  1. Go to Start
  2. Type in 'msconfig'
  3. Once the program is launched click on the startup tab
  4. Then un-tick everything that isn't your Anti Virus.

That did not work. Windows crashes in the process of loading drivers, long before it gets to startup programs. I suppose I could reinstall again, not install the graphics driver, and try running IntelBurnTest that way.

I recommend doing that as it seems there isn't much option to be honest.
It's always good to start off with a clean slate

CPU stress test passed with flying colors on 10 passes standard and 10 passes very high.

I uploaded an old memory dump from before the stress test, Windows was already set to Kernel Memory Dump by default so I hope this is alright. It's not on OneDrive, it's on my Copy account, hopefully that's acceptable as I don't have a OneDrive account and this is easier. https://copy.com/LAXS78688rT6STl9

Can you try and roll back to an earlier version?

You can do this in the device manager or by removing your HD graphics driver and installing an earlier version from the Intel download center.
  1. Go to Start
  2. Type in device manager
  3. Click on your display adapters
  4. Select properties on the correct display adapter
  5. Then click roll back driver under the driver tab

I've already tried 2 different versions, and it didn't work with either. My mom is getting impatient and the chances it's not the processor at this point are so incredibly slim I'm just going to replace it. Hopefully it's under warranty. It just feels like we could go back and forth all year and never be 100% certain it's the processor without any hardware swaps.

I appreciate all your help with this problem, you've been great!
