Change the cable. Get one that is rightly applicable for a desktop HDD (3.5 inch as you said).
When the SATA cable is properly fit, let us know how the computer is running.
Had another 0x7A, I think my hard drive is failing, It started doing a loud clicking sound a couple days ago. The sound happens at random but I've never heard it do that before.
I cloned my hard drive and I'll probably RMA it this week.
Here is the mini dump - Attachment 323106
The crash dump supports your thinking.
So let us know the situation after applying the replacement disc.Code:Debugging Details: ------------------ ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc000000e - A device which does not exist was specified. DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware BUGCHECK_STR: 0x7a_c000000e CUSTOMER_CRASH_COUNT: 1
I replaced my 3.5 inch with a 2.5 inch I had laying around, I cloned the drive and ended up getting the same blue screen on a different hard drive. Not sure if it's software related or maybe a different component?
Here is the new BSOD - Attachment 323272
All of the bluescreens in this zip happen while using the 2.5in hard drive. Attachment 323350

So the Hitachi Travelstar is the HDD to which the SATA cable clips perfectly?
As the same BSOD continues with this one too, can you change the SATA cable itself?
Another try, can you apply the SATA cable in another unused port on the motherboard?
If it still gives the same BSOD, upload the entire DM Log Collector output, not a stray crash dump only.
