Help with random BSOD's occurring randomly, vid card and RAM upgrades.

    Hi all,

I have a computer that's been overall working great.

I recently upgraded both the video card as well as all 4 RAM sticks. Put in a bunch of my hard drives. But every once in a while I get a random BSOD (usually in the middle of the night when I'm not actively using the computer). Any help with what might be wrong would be appreciated.

Thanks you all so much! I'm amazed by how knowledgeable you all are.

    Hi anorexicwallet.

As the issue started to occur after you changed RAM, it would better that you test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

I ran Memtest. I don't get 8 passes overnight before I have to use the computer again, even with multi core enabled. No errors on the passes I did run..... any advice? Or is the only option to leave it on until 8 passes have occurred?

You must run a minimum of 8 passes to thoroughly test RAM - no less.
