Not quite sure how I got to that particular Intel website page. I had done many Google searches. My laptop information:
Lenovo Thinkpad model W510 (probably purchased late 2010)
The machine type is 4318CTO
Laptop has one USB 3.0 port on rear and two USB 2.0 on side of case.
I think I probably got to the Intel web page by using this page and searching on Renesas USB 3.0. I see from the dropdown menu that Desktop Boards is a choice, but nothing labeled "Laptops".
I also just saw that Intel has a free analysis tool to see what drivers might be needed for your computer on the search page which I am running now, but I also see that whatever they provide is generic and that the OEM might have modified things specifically for your computer model so they suggest always getting drivers etc. from OEM and not from Intel website. So don't think this will provide any useful information.
