BSOD Ntoskrnl.exe Invalid_Process_Detachment

After two hours on the phone with Dell support, they have told me I should stop leaving my 1 week old computer on over night and that will fix the issue ... ... ..

Any help people?

Welcome to the forum Thoresh,

Reduce items at start-up:Perform a clean boot: Remove McAfee for testing purpose. It is a cause of BSOD's very often.

Recommended antivirus software for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-
warning   Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.


Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:Post back with results.
