No, he's using the card now. I am going to get him to remove the card and just use on board.

Isn't IGFX onboard?

May not be the same model but this sure matches closely:

Quote:
In the BIOS graphics options, i have 4 options.

GFX0-GPP-IGFX-PCI

GPP-GFX0-IGFX-PCI

PCI-GFXO-GPP-IGFX

IGFX-GFXO-GPP-PCI

the manual translates as the following

GFXO = Primary video controller on a PCI-e x16 slot

GPP = Primary video controller on a PCI-e x1 slot

IGFX = onboard video display output

PCI = Primary video controller on a PCI slot.

it also says that the default setting is 'GFX0-GPP-IGFX-PCI'

Broken Hyroid. Uninstall all the drivers for the card, Set windows update to download but let me decide, then install all of the drivers for your card. When you have finished it will say, reboot. Shut down instead of reboot. Remove your graphics card and connect the monitor to your back I/O panel to use the on board graphics, but you have to completely remove the card. Turn on the computer, go back and set windows update to automatically install updates, then run your loop of watching You Tube videos where you say you usually BSOD or anything else that causes them.

That's correct, Greg. He's running a Dedicated Video Card in a PCIE X16 lane.

He's using the default settings in bios.

Greg, with a setting of Auto, most boards will automatically disable the on board if there is a Dedicated card installed. The only reason the on board is there at that point is if the dedicated card goes out, you can remove it and still get video. It is essentially disabled, no matter what it is set to. Those are the on board settings, which are supposed to be disabled anyway.

There should be another section that deals with the X16, X1 lanes

Greg, his is set to GFX0-GPP-IGFX-PCI, which, if I understand it correctly is PCIe X16 is Primary video and IGFX is secondary video adapter.

Description:
AMD has received feedback that some users are unable to install the Catalyst 14.4 driver on some motherboards with AMD chipsets. We have investigated the issue and have determined that it was caused by the AHCI driver component that was included with the driver package.

If you were affected by this issue, we recommend you download and install this updated version of the driver.

*** Before installing this driver, please ensure you have uninstalled the previous driver using the Add/Remove programs option in the Control Panel and also deleted the installation folder for the previous driver. This folder can be found at the following locations:

Was there ever a stable configuration? What driver was installed then?

If you enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) and Check for Updates, what driver does Win7 want? Are there patches provided?

Are you running the full CCC bloatware package and have you tried uninstalling it?
Hi, this is what happens when I try to automatically deliver drivers via windows update:

I haven't clicked ''Apply this fix'' as I didn't want to install any additional drivers than those I was told to. I don't even know what the ''unknown device'' is.

Okay I will fully uninstall the drivers for my Graphics Card, and remove it, then use on screen graphics, if no bsods occur in 48hrs we will know if that was the reason.

After uninstalling the GPU drivers and CCC did you set Windows update as shown? Then run WU manually.

Two different BSOd's in two days, happens randomly
Hello everyone, I recently installed a new motherboard and I think that may be the cause of my problems. I tried reading the dump files myself, but I'm no expert. What I picked out (from the two most recent BSOD's) is a USB 3.0 Accelerator (ASUS software) driver failure BSOD and a CPU hardware...

I got a BSOD twice in the last 5 days. According to WhoCrashed, the first one came from ntfs.sys and the next one from ntoskrnl.exe/ntkrnlmp.exe. Apparently most likely a driver/memory error. The OS is Win7 x64 Ultimate Professional retail. The PC is slightly less than 2 years old and so is the...
