I came back and the computer was in Startup Repair cycle. I press finish and the computer goes off. When I restart it it does a BSD for less than one second and after two attempts it takes me to a choice of either Startup Repair or Start Windows normally. Either choice gets me back to square one with Startup Repair. So I used the restore point created before starting DV.

I have two 4GB memory modules. Before I remove one, should I run any tests on them?

I did remove AVG and Panda. I still have Zone Alarm, and I have SuperantiSpyware with real time protection. I installed MalwareBytes but insted of MSE I installed Bit Defender. Should I remove Superantispyware, or just turn off real time protection?

Thanks,

Jorge

Uninstall ZoneAlarm and Bit Defender and install MSE. Please follow the instructions given as I'm trying to get your machine into a state where the programs installed are known to not cause BSODs, MSE is one of them.

Also disable real time protection in SAS.

Boozad, is there another input or action you are waiting for? I uninstalled Zone Alarm and BitDefender, and I did disable real time protection in SAS.

Thanks,

Jorge

Sorry. Computer continues to turn itself off and to give error messages. I erased the message, and I looked for it in Event Viewer but cannot find it.

There are no dumps in those logs for us to analyse. Are you able to run Windows for any length of time? Follow Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup to perform a clean boot.
