BSOD while installing ATI CATALYST DISPLAY DRIVER 14.4 for windows 7

I am having the same problem with the older versions also. My Graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 5450. I used the Display Driver Uninstaller. After rebooting the pc, I tried to install it again but again BSOD occurred when it was detecting graphics hardware .Need help desperately.

    Hi Wager124.

This is an aged branded PC. As it is having an integrated Intel GPU, I am thinking that the ATI RADEON HD 5450is a dedicated GPU.

First Uninstall your installed latest version of the display driver.

Then clean up any possible leftover.

Then install version 13.9 WHQL only.

Then stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Also let us know the wattage of the PSU.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .

    Let us know the results.
