Scan completed, no threats detected. (I run these every day.) Screenprint attached.

So now where are we? Is there anything else to be done?

If the system files issue is behind us, can I (should I) reinstall Kaspersky, or leave it for a while?

Great - the CBS log is now clear of errors.

I can hand you back to the BSOD guys now - assuming that you're still getting them!

    Good luck.

Absolutely brilliant. All my hats are tipped to you, and all ten thumbs are up. Thanks for everything. The BSOD problem has gone away since uninstalling Kaspersky, but I'd like to put it back. Do I need to start another thread for that, or should I just try it and see what happens?

I'd say 'Go for it - Kaspersky is a great AV' (when it doesn't get sniffy).

    Others may have different experiences.

Great. Over and out then. I'll wait to see if anyone chirps in with an opinion before closing this thread.
