BSOD - Driver Power state failure

I am using Dell Laptop ( Model N5050) with Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit OS. My laptop crashes often in the past 3 months and getting a blue screen with the error message DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
with some error code as 9F.

As suggested in the forum, I downloaded the DM log collector and it collected the information from my system.

    Attaching the logs.

Please help me in fixing this BSOD. Thanks in Advance

    Thanks,
    Jeyaraj

    Hi jeyaraj.

From the incomplete data you uploaded, we can say that the BSODs are caused by the wifi network adapter.

If you want further help on how to attempt to resolve the issue, you have to upload more data and info.

Click on the button below ....

It will download the DM log collector. Right click on the application and run as administrator. It will generate a .zip file on your desktop. Upload the .zip.

Unfortunately we still dontt have the necessary files other than the crash dumps.

Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions option two. May be it will gather the files.

Nice. So the device is Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz). Get it from Driver Details | Dell US

Let us know how the computer is running after the driver update.

    Wifi connection issue persists

    Hi Arc,

Thanks for the advise. I have downloaded the driver and so far not seen any BSOD error :)
Will update you if i run into BSOD problems in future.

I forgot to inform about one more problem, My wifi internet connection keeps fluctuating. I mean, the wifi network has full strength, but the laptop shows exclamation mark for the connection and say no Internet Access. I have to manually connect to wifi network again. this happens several times when the laptop is active.

I still see the same issue even after the wifi driver update. Can you please advise on this issue?

    Thanks,
    Jeyaraj

If the notification icon says it is disconnected despite of having the connection properly working, it is bluetooth.

Disabling bluetooth will make the icons behave in the proper way.
