    BSOD while playing several games

    Hey all,

I've been getting multiple BSOD's while playing different games lately. The zip file I've attached has BSODs from February for some reason. You can ignore those as only the July dumps are relevant.

    Thank you!

Apok, you had 4 dump files in there. 2 said Inconclusive, the other said

    Code:
    kd> lmvm atikmdag

What I would suggest is starting with the 2 we know about which are your Graphics drivers. Go to https://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ndows-7-a.html and download the latest graphics driver even if it is the one already installed as long as it is WHQL, uninstall your current drivers in Control panel > Uninstall programs. Then follow this tutorial to remove all left over remnants Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling checking only ATI Display drivers, then install the new ones, try using custom install and only install the display driver and not CCC if possible. See if that helps any. Please get back with us and let us know if it is any better.

In the meantime please fill out your system specs:

Please fill out your System Specs

       Information
Your System Specs will help us to help you, and doing it in this manner will make them available to all helpers in every post and keep us from hunting for them. We ask that you fill them out in as much detail as possible including Desktop or Laptop, Model number if it is an OEM computer and all components with the Manufacturer and Model number if possible.

If you will go to your last post and click the 'System Specs' in the bottom left of the post, you will find a link to update your system specs. Please fill those out in as much detail as possible. If you would like to know what we would like, you can click 'My System Specs' at the bottom left of this post to see mine. If you do not know what your components are, this will help you accomplish this task. System Info - See Your System Specs

Also, please run a system file checker to check system files
Open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

In the process of cleaning up my drivers and I noticed NVIDIA physx was installed on my rig. I wonder if this was causing problems... Will post again once everything is complete.

Ok. System scan found no integrity errors. I updated my system specs, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers after using the DDU. I'll run a couple of games and see what happens.

    Thanks again!!!

Have you ever had an Nvidia GPU in that rig? Unless I am mistaken some games require one, so they install an AMD equivalent.

Apparently DA:O requires it as I just opened the game via steam and it was installed again.

I think some games do, so they install an AMD version.
