BSOD Regularly WhoCrashed says ntoskrnl.exe Driver Power State Failure

Hello All,

I believe the problem is the result of ntoskrnl.exe because WhoCrashed crash dump analysis says...

This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75BC0)
Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFFA800A35EA10, 0xFFFFF80000B9C518, 0xFFFFFA8010D8CCA0)
Error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

although occasionally it is....

This was probably caused by the following module: ntkrnlmp.exe (nt!KeBugCheckEx+0x0)

Win 7 Pro
x64
The original OS installed on the system was Win 7 Home
The OS is a full retail version that I installed
5 year old Board and chip
I have re-installed the OS (always a clean install from a wiped drive) several times. Current install is a little over 1 year old.

Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.8GHz
NVidia GeForece GTX 650 Ti Boost
Dell Studio XPS 8100 Motherboard w/ Intel H57 Chipset
Diablotek Pro Series 550w Power Supply

Dell
Studio XPS 8100

Desktop

I have expanded and replaced a number parts on the system since originally purchased. I currently have 3 SATA Drives and the DVD drive attached to the motherboard as well as an external drive attached to the external eSata port. 12GB RAM. My OS resides on its own SSD and all files are stored on other drives. I am not overclocking. The only security I am running is MS security essentials.

Let me know if there is any additional info that will help. I appreciate your help.

john

Hi

Can you update the driver to your Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet from Broadcom?

Let us know the result.

I have updated my broadcom driver and based on the advice on another board I have removed the SPTD driver for daemon tools.

I will update with my results.

Thanks.
