BSOD because of Windows update conflict?

I don't get the BSOD though. My computer just freezes up.

Here is what is going on when it happens:

I'm ALWAYS viewing or using something that uses flash or Java. ALWAYS.

This just started in the last week, and was an every few minutes problem on July 23, 2014. After not finding anything that worked to solve the problem, I finally used a restore, and that solved the problem until all of the Windows updates happened. Now I'm back to the same problem. I have attached two dm log collector files, one before I did the restore, and one from today. I have not done a restore yet today, although I don't see where they are attached so I'll guess they are...

    Thanks,

    Vikki

    Welcome to the forum VASnider,

Make sure your dump logging is enabled.
    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click System.
    3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
    4. Check Write an even to the system log, and Automatically restart.
    5. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (256k).

    Location of Dumps:
    C:\Windows\minidump
    Perform a Clean boot:

Reduce items at start-up. No software except anti-virus is required plus doing this improves the time for logging into windows:

McAfee is a known cause to BSOD's. Remove it and replace with MSE.

Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability
compared to other antivirus or internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-

       Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

    Make scans with the following:

    Kaspersky TDSSKiller

    ESET online scanner:

Run Disk Check on your Hard Drive for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Post back if this has helped.
