I installed some core temp programs so I could see if the processor or the graphics card was overheating.

    (intel i5)
    Core 0 Max 44c
    Core 1/2/3 Max 46c

    Graphics Card (Radeon 5850)
    TMpin0 Max 30c
    TMpin1 Max 25c
    TMpin2 Max 35c

It dosn't crash predictably enough for me to determine what is causing it. Sometimes its just idle and bluescreens reallyfast to a shutdown/restart. Other times it freezes and I have to restart myself.

    Any ideas / suggestions?

I am a little unsure if the heatsync I put on the processor is on correctly... stupid pushpin/plastic locks that make me damn near crack the motherboard in half to install.

    C:\Windows\Minidump

Winrar the latest few .dmp files and attach to a post so we can have a look to determine what may be causing your 0x50 bsod, please.
    Include C:\Windows\Minidump\103009-23914-01.dmp

Install latest chipset driver for motherboard and video driver from game.amd.com should fix. If not, please post back and I will look further into the issue(s).

Install latest bios is always good idea too.

    Good luck.

Remove all NVidia video card driver software if you ever had a card by them installed. I'm guessing you did since you have a brand new card.
