BSOD - Shogun2, Desktop

Hey just recently been getting a couple of BSOD (also strange vertical bars with a grey/beige background). Im pretty sure its being caused by HIDCLASS.sys.

Wondering why the interface would be causing this, and how to solve

Much Appreciated,

The display issue should be the clue : its a video driver issue. Update it.

This is a common cause of BSOD's - uninstall it.
Code:
DAEMON Tools Lite	"b:\program files (x86)\daemon tools lite\dtlite.exe" -autorun	MITCH-PC\MITCH	HKU\S-1-5-21-1769647208-410770768-852825408-1000\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Thanks for the advice, updated drivers uninstalled Daemon tools. Crashes appeared to stop for ~1 day then resumed. Interestingly enough it seems they are not BSOD now, rather it seems the screen appears to "crash" (image is a close up of the display imgur: the simple image sharer) but i can still hear sounds etc (so the system has not actually crashed)

Edit - To add extra details this crash happened when playing CS:GO and upon resstaring there were strange visual artefacts on the screen (purple pixel blocks) unfortunately I wasnt quick enough to take a pic.

Edit - Also the vertical lines have been grey on previous crashes

Edit - Was able to capture the strange display glitches http://i.imgur.com/k2m3X4w.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vwmzHlw.jpg ... im beginning to think my card might just be dying

Check the state of the card and case - is it free of dust, are all the fans working, is there sufficient cooling?

Run HWINFO to collect the temperature of core components, and post back a screen capture showing the card temp. at idle and during gaming if possible.

Hey, No real need for screenshots I guess but I was idling around 39-40 degrees and while gaming reached 56 degrees before a "vertical line crash" happened (only after around 3 minutes)

Mmmm....that doesn't look that bad, but lets get a second opinion before we call the card buggered. Please wait for Essenbe to post here.

Contrasted, before we call the card bad, let's run a couple of tests if you would. Please download Ungine Heaven 4.0 Download Unigine 'Heaven' DX11 Benchmark 4.0 | techPowerUp As usual watch for the add ons they want to install with it sometimes. Just uncheck the boxes an you'll be fine. Run the benchmark with the extreme presets and as always watch the temps as they will go quite high. Stop the test if it gets too hot. When it opens use the extreme preset like the picture below. Watch for artifacts and temps. When it opens it will take a few seconds to load. As soon as it starts moving press the benchmark tab at the top left of the screen. The picture below is just the set up screen, set it up and press run.

it took all of about 2 minutes to crash (this time to an all white screen). Upon restarting I can only boot into safe mode (attempting to boot non safe mode does not progress past the windows splash screen, only a black screen).

The crash happened at around 45 degrees so actually a quite low temperature

Edit - attached is an image of what my desktop looks like in safe mode (OOPS it appears that the massive horizontal blue lines all over the screen didnt appear in the image, my bad)

Edit 2 - Multiple reboots show that the behavior (the artifacts on the POST and MOBO splash screens is erratic), I was able to boot regularly after multiple attempts

just trying to save you from spending money. Try this, download the latest drivers from AMD, uninstall all the current ones, then try
Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling Then install the new driver you downloaded, but select custom install and try not to install CCC if possible, install as little as you can. You don't need the audio drivers and such, all you really need is the display driver. That is to make sure it'd not a driver problem and you get as clean an install as possible. You can reinstall the drivers you have now if you want, but do the clean leftover drivers and custom install part too.

Also, if you will, please go into BIOS and tell me the reading of your +12V, +5V, and +3.3V.

Also, do you happen to have another card or have a friend that will loan you one for a day or two?
