STOP 0x00000101: A clock interrupt was not received

    Hi

I have been using Windows 7 Home Premium from my HP dv6 laptop for long without any issue. 2 weeks ago I installed some driver update tool, and updated the drivers, on the same day I also updated Windows. Then I started receiving BSOD, saying STOP 0x00000101: A clock interrupt was not received (Screenshot is attached)

I used System Restore to back dates, but still BSOD appeared. Then I used HP Recovery DVD, even during the windows installation the computer used to crash, and after many attempts I was able to install the windows. Even on fresh window I am still receiving the same BSOD often.

Reading this forum, I followed the Driver Verfier method and system crash on the next 2 reboots but now windows is loading fine and BSOD appearing often. I dont know how to debug through Driver Verifier method. Please advise.
Also I am posting all the debug info which is required by your team. Also I am posting the report of BlueScreenView
If there is anything else you want me to post, please feel free to ask
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    (From MSDN Debuggers)

    0x101- CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
The specified processor is not processing interrupts. Typically, this occurs when the processor is nonresponsive or is deadlocked.

That means, that your processor is your only problem.

    Hexagon12!
    Thanks for the quick reply.
As you mentioned this issue is related to processor, is there anything I can do to solve it? Or replacing the processor is the only solution?
    Thanks

I dont even know what is overlocking, never touched any setting of processor. Then why suddenly it says that processor is Overlocked? Is there anyway to not to Overlock it?
I have already reset bios to stock settings
Processor is the stock processor, never replaced. No componenet of the pc is replaced since purchase.

Ill try to put this as nicely as I can. BSODs are a pain. In my opinion the worst two are error codes 101 and 124. We will help all that we can, but it takes a lot of trial and error to get it right. If you took all the suggested tests, something should have shown. Be sure that each test was done correctly. For example, the memtest86+ test; at least 8 passes etc.

captainakif, here are the instructions for memtest86+
    Please Run Memtest86+

       Information
Please download from this site only http://www.memtest.org/ in the middle of the page are the Download links, you can download the ISO.zip or the Auto USB Flash Drive installer.zip

Extract the Zip file. If you chose the ISO image, burn it to a CD using Windows Disk Image Burner or any Image burner you may have. If you downloaded the Auto USB installer, extract it, insert your USB 2.0 Flash Drive and take note of the drive letter. Run the installer, select the Flash Drive Letter, check the format box and press next. It will install memtest86+ to a flash drive. You can use either V4.20 or V5.01. Boot from your selected media. If you use V5.01 it will tell you to press certain buttons at the start, please press no buttons. The test will begin on it's own and continue to run until you stop it. It needs to run for 8 complete passes or until you receive an error. If you receive an error, stop the test. Even 1 error is a fail. Each pass tests a different part of the ram and each of the 10 tests in each pass tests something different. It takes a minimum of 8 passes to completely test the ram, more passes are better. It is quite a long test and will take several hours depending on how much ram you have. Due to the time length it is best to run overnight. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask
