BlueScreen while streaming youtube and signed into IRC

The first thing that happened was the live youtube broadcast I was watching in Chrome went black. I also had Chatzilla (addon for Firefox) signed into two networks and 3 channels but I had closed the browser window to Firefox. I had time to type into an IRC channel that I had lost the video. When it went blue I didn't have time to read any of the stuff on the screen, white on blue is hard for me to read, anyway. The screen went black, I looked at the tower, I noticed the red light code through the window said A2. It restarted and came to the place where you can choose to boot into safe mode, etc. I didn't know what to do about it in safe mode so I just hit enter and it booted into Windows, an error window came up and I copied the details. The red light inside the tower says A0 now, like it always does. I hope someone can help, please. TIA

    ETA:

In the meantime, should I or shouldn't I make sure everything is updated and run SAS and MBAM?

According to your dump files, your graphics driver crashed, and appears to need updating.

    Code:
    lmvm igdkmd64
    start end module name
    fffff880`060c9000 fffff880`065e41a0 igdkmd64 T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: igdkmd64.sys

I would try from your motherboard's web site for your board, otherwise Intel Download center.

I also noticed quite a few error reports for the plugin container.exe which is a new thing Firefox has started and has caused people a lot of problems. Suffice it to say, I would try using Firefox on as few tabs as possible.

microsoft updates has tried and failed

I had given up on getting the driver to update, I didn't think of trying the manufacturer.

Also, I recently disabled the plug-in container. Its only purpose seemed to be to give me more error windows to close when FF crashes, which is often. Chrome is default but some things don't display legibly.

    Thanks

The Plug-in container with Firefox is a single plugin that houses all plug ins installed. Their theory is that if a plug in fails, Firefox won't. But, as I understand it, once it has been opened by watching a video or you tube, it keeps running even after that program is closed. It cannot be disabled by the usual means. It has caused a lot of people problems. You may find this of interest https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...aving-problems

You should have no problems updating the Intel Graphics driver unless you are using a dedicated video card. In that case, the on board graphics is usually disabled by default and will not update. If you are using only on board, it should update as long as you are choosing the correct driver.

I had no trouble updating the driver from Intel, the one microsoft kept showing me failed every time, so I had hidden it.

I believe I have the Firefox plug in container disabled successfully as I no longer get extra 'plug in container crashed' messages when Firefox crashes, like I did before, and it doesn't show up in Task Manager.

That's good that the plug in container is not causing you problems, but if I understand right Firefox is.
